Hi, am Nikita Parekh, a girl who always loved painting!

My passion for painting started, when i didn't know the meaning of passion! I mean, when I was in Senior KG, I won my first prize in drawing competition. And then, my parents always encouraged me with color pencils and crayons.  I was charmed drawing colorful flowers and butterflies. 

When I was 9, I did my first painting with water colors and brush. Painting natural scenes with mountains, river, trees, a sun and birds flying in sky… 

No matter what they are; crayons, sketch pens, water colors, fabric colors or acrylic… Colors and their shades always fascinated me. During school functions, I enjoyed decorating notice boards and art rooms with designs and rangolis. (Rangoli is a folk art from India. They are decorative designs made on floor with materials like colored rice, colored sand or even flower petals.)

I don’t remember when my attraction to colors became my hobby. Then one day I visited a painting exhibition in my home town, where they had one glass painting section. I saw glass paintings for the first time there, and I was like ‘Wow! It looks amazing.’ The colors looked so shiny and attractive, that I could not stop myself to start painting on glass. I tried one at home, and that was it! It turned out really good J  I continued painting along with my studies and later job too. And now, with support and encouragement of my husband, I am painting more and more fabulous pictures.

It’s been almost 10 years I am doing different types of glass paintings and I love to continue those…
